THE NATIONAL LOTTERY TRUST FUND TEAM MEETS WITH UK NATIONAL LOTTERY IN BIRMINGHAM
The meeting commenced at about 1.15 pm. local time and the Hon Minister of Special Duties & Intergovernmental Affairs and leader of the delegation, Hon. Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN), in his remarks, thanked the Commission profusely for its wonderful reception and hosting of the Nigerian delegation to the meeting. He re-stated the commitment of the Nigerian Government under the able leadership of Mr. President, His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (GCFR) to reposition the NLC and NLTF to play their critical roles in the transformation agenda of the current administration to revamp Nigeria’s lottery industry.
In a brief address, the Director of Licensing and Compliance of _the UK National Lottery Commission, Mr. Ben Hardin warmly welcomed the delegation and thereafter made presentations on wide ranging issues which include: the regulatory approaches adopted by the commission, licensing and competition issues, consumer protection, returns to good causes, compliance and enforcement issues, and the organizational structure of the Commission.
