THE NATIONAL LOTTERY TRUST FUND TEAM VISITS BIG LOTTERY
Big Lottery Fund is a non-departmental public body sponsored by the Cabinet Office and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport. It is the largest of the twelve distributors of lottery money to good causes in the UK. It has distributed around £700 Million (about N200 Billion) since its inception in June, 2004. BIG’s mandate covers good cause projects supporting health, education, environment and charitable purposes.
In his closing remarks, the Executive Secretary/CEO of NLTF, Engr Habu A. Gumel (OON) briefly thanked BIG for hosting the delegation and making brilliant presentations on the workings of BIG in delivering their good cause intervention projects in the UK. Thereafter, he presented the draft copy of the MoU for capacity building and other programmes of assistance between NLTF and BIG, to Mr. Shaun Walsh, Deputy Director, Communications & Marketing, BIG Lottery Fund for perusal and further necessary action.
